Blame it on the Rain

Friday, May 20, 2011 | |

I grew up a tomboy which meant constantly "borrowing" my brother's clothes without his permission. I think that might be the reason why he hated me in high school, I sorta kept getting ketchup stains on his prestine white printed shirts. To this day I still love menswear. Occasionally, I raid my hubby's closet, but unlike my brother he doesn't mind - I also moonlights as his stylist :)  When I'm out shopping for his clothes, I tend to always get inspired (which you will see in future post).

On this rainy & cloudy day in NYC, I decided to wear my tribal dress, paired with my husband's shirt, my old 1st generation Burberry boots (which I have trouble letting go off) and grey tights. Accesories are a mix from H&M & Satya Jewelry, I am currently gaga over Satya - such beautiful pieces it was hard to choose. After the Mango Event last week, I hurried over to Tribeca for Satya's Blogger only preview (more pictures to come later from the event, so watch out for that).

As for the location for this little shoot, it was by complete accident. We were just going about our normal day, he getting his haircut & me getting mani-pedi when we passed by this warehouse & it was painted in this beautiful blue color. Light bulb goes off in my head (fantastic shoot location - you got a red coat on, tribal printed shirt, Burberry checkers - perfect!), luckily I had my camera & the whole thing took less than 10 minutes to do.
