At Calvin Klein’s fall presentation, global creative director Kevin Carrigan said his women’s collection was inspired by skin — its look, its feel, its color. Thus, there were snakeskin print pieces, form-fitting turtlenecks and colors in tones of tan. Carrigan also worked with soft draped fabrics for a loungewear feel that was evident on robelike coats, pajama-style pants and boy-cut trousers. Handbags were done in embossed snakeskin and textured leather, while shoes stayed minimal and classic. As for men’s wear, the focus turned to sharp suits and monochromatic dressing.
