Would You Wear Over the Knee Boots?

BCBG Boots

Over the knee boots come and go from season to season, but never out of fashion.  They've proven again  that they are definitely here to stay.  I owned a few flat one's 7 years ago, but in 2010, invested in the heeled version and bought 1 buckled over-the-knee boots (worn here), 1 wedged over-the knee-boots (HERE), and 1 military inspired over-the-knee boots (HERE). I just couldn't help it, they are a bit sexy and inherently, a teeny bit vampy.  Wearing OTK's (over-the-knee boots) is a very complicated matter, you don't want to look like you just lost your mind or worst – you just lost your customer (Pretty Woman, ring a bell).

So know your limitations. Go with natural make up, simple accessories and keep it clean.  You might be tempted to wear it with animal print or bright colors, but be mindful or else you might end up looking like a clown, or a dominatrix. So whether you are thinking about getting flat OTK's or heeled OTK's, now might be the perfect time to try them out. I wore mine with a military green hooded parka, ballet tights & mod printed dress.

I love those boots!
I've been on the lookout for the perfect OTK boots, but haven't found any that I really like.
Having knee issues I want something with a smaller heel.

You did a great job on this outfit.

Yup, so as you probably see from my post, we've mirrored each other :) Everytime I've tried on OTK boots with heels, I was turned off by the way they look on me. So I figured I'll start small and work my way up! They look great on you though. Some people can just wear them and you're part of the lucky ground...grrrr! Great dress to pair it with. I def. think the outfit has to be super girly for these kinds of boots!

Have a great weekend!!

You look amazing! I'm totally in love with your boots, a couple of months ago I bought my first OTK'S flat boots and I been wearing them with jeans, but sometimes I feel kind of uncomfortable or I get the feeling that it doesn't look good. I think they look great with dresses, but do you think they look good with jeans?

Have a great weekend!
