A few days back into the swing of things and I'm slowly getting back to my old self. The smile is there, but I'm keeping my eyes to myself. For now.
I hope everyone had a great week. I certainly have tried to enjoy the weather here in NYC, its been so beautiful I could not resist. On this beautiful day, I decided to try out my new phone's camera. Not bad eh.

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of outfit post, tad too busy lately.
My Mom being big on retro fashion, it wasn't hard to find inspiration all I had to do was look at her old photos. So when I saw these shoes @ the Aldo store, I just knew I had to have them. A flood of images ran through my head of what I could wear it with. I have been dying to wear this outfit, but the event didn't present itself until this weekend. All I am missing here is a brooch & I did think of a sweater instead of the jacket, but somehow it really didn't complete the look as much as the jacket. I scored with these Rodo Straw Italian handbag and the vintage jacket I bought for only $1.

I always associate sequins with soap operas and pageant queens. Joan Collins & Linda Evans on Dynasty and the Miss America Pageant during its heyday.
The problem with having a lot of clothes is feeling like you've got nothing to wear. I've had this top in my closet for 2 years now, but didn't get a chance to wear it til Monday. Remember Monday when I was stuck on Sunday - well let's just say I waltz into work feeling bold and sleepy. I had to wear a long black blazer ofcourse (how else can I get away with it), but yup I wore leather & sequins to work. On a Monday nonetheless, lethargy must also translate as trying to get fired lol.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. The weather has been nice, but chilly over the weekend. Hot & Humid during the week and now its cool and sunny. I have been MIA for a few days and I know its time for an outfit post. The reason for my absence is because I'm suffering from the worst case of allergies the past 5 days or so. Pardon my mess and lack of posts.
