With the escalating prices of leather today, I am quite pleased I bought this leather skirt from H&M last Winter. Most of the time I buy pieces that just sit in my closet until I find "the shoes" to pair them with. Grey leather skirt meet Jeffrey Campbell Lita Fur in Pink Cheetah - my official shoes for FALL 2011. The top is one of my thrifted finds for a DOLLAR. Ha! Beat that in this recession :)
I would never leave my house wearing nothing under the knitted top, but I figured I wasn't leaving my bedroom so what the heck. See top worn differently HERE.

Happy Monday all! I had a pretty busy weekend with the family, I was pretty much running around in 3 of the 5 boroughs of NYC. It all started with a trip to Brooklyn on Saturday for some good old Russian food shopping. Then off to Manhattan on Sunday to catch up with an old friend of mine before she headed back to Hawaii. I also got a chance to clean up my closet & give away my clothes - most still had tags on them.

I always associate sequins with soap operas and pageant queens. Joan Collins & Linda Evans on Dynasty and the Miss America Pageant during its heyday.
The problem with having a lot of clothes is feeling like you've got nothing to wear. I've had this top in my closet for 2 years now, but didn't get a chance to wear it til Monday. Remember Monday when I was stuck on Sunday - well let's just say I waltz into work feeling bold and sleepy. I had to wear a long black blazer ofcourse (how else can I get away with it), but yup I wore leather & sequins to work. On a Monday nonetheless, lethargy must also translate as trying to get fired lol.
