Hey guys! Hope you have all been enjoying your summer. Can't believe its about to end. It has been an incredibly wild ride to say the least. I definitely cannot complain since I've been living my life to the fullest and experienced things I've only imagined. Both good and bad. A lot of personal growth, exploration, creation and no doubt fashion forward style game on point---sharper than ever. When you see me on the mean streets of the Big Apple you will know what I'm talking about :P For fashion doesn't belong only to the fashion houses. We can look to them for inspiration, but the "it" factor is something we are all born with. It isn't about imitating what you see via media, social media and the big screen. It isn't about assimilating with your current environment. Life is about self expression and exploration. Why try to be someone else? The world is tough enough as it is. We simply cannot afford to be someone else, but ourselves.
So let the fiery light shine through. Let your character and your personality take you wherever you want. Fashion is something I was born with.
Its within. I was recently schooled by someone near and dear to me, explaining that its not the Savile Row men's dress shirt that I borrowed, but its the way I put myself together coupled with my energy that makes the outfit unique. The secret formula is me. To quote my grandmother, "wear the clothes, don't let it wear you." Wear what's comfortable to you, what speaks to you. Wear clothes that reflect your personality. Its better to be yourself than be a carbon copy of someone else. Make no mistake, "Manners might maketh men," but confidence maketh women.
Soccer jersey matched with simple jean shorts, but it all comes down to the shoes. In this shoot, it came down to 2 of my favorites--the Damsel and the Lita. My trusted go-to shoes when it comes to slaying. So, go ahead. Don't be afraid. Let your colors shine. Be confident. Be you.
As I get ready for another school year, my posts are going to be sporadic, but I will always try to give you guys the best. The best shoes, at least :)

One must walk with caution when wearing the Damsel, they instantly make you super tall. So don't be fooled by the fun romantic look & its cuteness. Underneath the tapestry fabric is an extra tall covered platform wedge. Pretty, piece-y design hides a massive 2.5" platform, plus a towering 6" wedge heel (plus rubber tip), with characteristic Jeffrey Campbell cross-stitching up the back.
Finally able to layers now that the weather's cooled down drastically. Wearing Forever 21, Vintage jeans & Jeffrey Campbell Shoes.

Its tricky to wear tulle, some of us won't even think of it. We simply decided to sit this one out. Are you sitting this style out too? I figure go for it, take a risk - do or die. Although, I have a few outfits in mind. Let's start with #1 - paired with my Jeffrey Campbell Lita Fur Pink Cheetah. Start with edgy then dive into something sweet next week with a blazer and some heels. How do you propose we could look chic in our childhood clothes?

I'm coo coo for polka-dots. Can you blame me? They are delightful and can easily go from classic, quirky, sexy & sweet. You'll be seeing more of me in dots this Fall & Winter - I can't hardly wait.

With the escalating prices of leather today, I am quite pleased I bought this leather skirt from H&M last Winter. Most of the time I buy pieces that just sit in my closet until I find "the shoes" to pair them with. Grey leather skirt meet Jeffrey Campbell Lita Fur in Pink Cheetah - my official shoes for FALL 2011. The top is one of my thrifted finds for a DOLLAR. Ha! Beat that in this recession :)
I would never leave my house wearing nothing under the knitted top, but I figured I wasn't leaving my bedroom so what the heck. See top worn differently HERE.

Jeffrey Campbell Ad Long is definitely one of my favorites for 2011. These shoes are what I'd call "business on top, party at the bottom." This was my ensemble on Monday and I wore it to work! I'm being daring these days, first came
sequins & leather and now urban chic stripes.

Beautiful Sunday in NYC. Attended the
NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group picnic in Central Park and I had a blast with the girls, as always. It was the perfect way to end the weekend.
The first set of pictures were taken in Westhcester County, New York (where I reside) and the rest were taken in Central Park. Thanks to my new photographer aka Slava aka my partner in crime & hubby, these pictures came out pretty darn good.
Wearing Jeffrey Campbell Mariel Floral Black Wedges, H&M shorts, top?

Hi guys! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. As usual I spent my weekend running around like a crazy mad woman. My weekend started off with a romantic dinner with hubby. We had lobster rolls for dinner (YUMMY in my TUMMY) so naturally, I stuffed my face. Saturday and Sunday was spent with the family grilling cheeseburgers, cleaning, shopping, watching movies, taking photos, cooking some more and driving around NYC. Whew, exhausting.
It was one of those weekends where I was feeling a bit adventurous. I dug into my closet and just said what the heck. Lets make it fun and put on my favorite things. I'm not so sure about the end result, its not your usual or my usual get up, but the important part is that I had fun dressing up. By the way, am I the only girl on the planet that as a section for her favorite shoes in the closet? By favorite, I mean they rarely come out to play unless its nice and sunny outside. They are the no rain can touch these shoes. Since it was sunny, but a little chilly, I decided to wear my Brown Calf Jeffrey Campbell
Boot Camp shoes with wool socks, Emilio tights, Forever 21 Earrings, & everything else H&M.
These photos were snapped in Brooklyn - by the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge which is visible in the background.
