I'm completely & utterly crazy about shoes. I just can't help myself when it comes to footwear – I have a strong urge to give them a home. You know how some people collect stamps, well I collect shoes. (Photos taken with a Sony A35 DSLR)

"I have a strong urge to give them a home"...LOL! That sounds like something someone would say about bringing home a big eyed puppy at a pet shop. But I feel you on that. I used to have one of my art classes from college right by all of the shops in SF. I would walk down the streets with my friend after class and she would literally have to pull me away from the window display of shoes. Like a moth to a flame.
BTW that is such an incredible story behind your tattoo. I can't even imagine what it would be like to go through that. My mom had a surgery when I was in the 7th grade to remove a tumor inside of her. I was terrified because not long before that she had a friend who died of cancer. I think about her all the time. Actually, a lot of my vintage clothes and accessories came from her.
Your shoes are so fun. I've seen the Lita version of these, but I prefer the Damsel. I don't even have a cat, but these shoes could make up for it lol :)
