Abstraction

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

I got tired of my usual solid colored leggings (who doesn't). So for the cold months, I vowed to breathe some life into my gams and go a little geometric & pattern leggings wild. First up, these funky, hypnotic & fashionable leggings. Complete with Geometric color blocking definitely a huge step away from drab. I'm currently a bit obsessed with these leggings, a pony patterned one (which I shall post soon) & a few from Latvian label QooQoo.

In case you haven't noticed, I have been wearing my H&M faux-fur vest a lot lately along with my serpent necklace. They just compliment everything well, what can I say :)

Shoes worn differently HERE.

Gaga for Vanessa

Monday, November 7, 2011

Gaining an hour back really does make a whole lot of difference. Today, I feel recharged. Finally some decent sleep over the weekend. 1st Monday in a really long time that I am awake, not groggy. How about that. Well I guess, I need to work on getting more of this thing called sleep.

So, how was your weekend? Anything exciting? As for moi, Hubby & I ventured into Queens (1 of NYC's 5 boroughs & #2 behind, Manhattan IMO) for some Italian & Colombian food. One thing we miss the most about living in Queens is the food. The choices will make your head spin, all thanks to Queens diverse group of residents. We shared fried calamari and chicken marsala for lunch. And for dinner, we had penne ala vodka with Colombian empanadas as our appetizer. Just the though of it now makes my mouth salivate. We're returning again this weekend for some Turkish food, yum!

Here are some photos of me & my well rested self taken by the hubby yesterday. Wearing: Jeffrey Campbell Vanessa via Plum for Polly, H&M tiered dress (on sale $7), H&M jacket, H&M long faux fur scarf, H&M accessories, Me Moi tights, Invicta gold watch.

Hey guys! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Its such a gorgeous day out, perfect for a photo shoot. I have 3 outfits ready and hoping to do 4. Here are a few  more photos from the holiday shops at Bryant Park, as promised.

If you're around NYC, definitely worth the visit. I took a photo of my favorite store Bora with their amazing jewelry. Hugs :)

Autumn in New York

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Autumn officially arrives in New York, when Bryant Park transforms itself for the winter season. That means Citi Pond and the annual Holiday Shops at Bryant Park are now open. One of the perks of working on 42nd Street – Sadia & I get to enjoy our lunch at the Bryant Park, all year round. Yesterday, we ventured to the park to check out the Holiday Shops. Here are a few photos from our visit. More to come (we're heading there today, too!).

I bought this dress from H&M back in the summer, but wasn't inspired to wear it until now. I'm channeling the 70s with this Grecian long maxi dress complete with serpent jewelry & faux fur vest all from H&M. Ofcourse, Jeffrey Campbell Lita platform shoes. I love playing dress up. Don't you?

Shoes worn with different outfits HERE & HERE.

The Big Easy

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

There's nothing like a cozy super-sized sweater. That's why I'm so glad that for fall, designers have showered us with textured, languid sweaters that are not only chic, but BIG on proportions too.

To you my darlings, I sincerely apologize for not being able to visit everyone's blog. I am swamped at work and only manage to steal away for a minute or 2. Personal life is even busier. I'm dizzy & nauseaous as I'm writing this since I haven't had coffee or breakfast. As soon as I walked into work. Well before 9 am, I've been bombarded with requests. I hope all of you are having a great week so far. Love you guys. Am I the only one who's crazy busy?
